It’s time to get real about weight loss. Nothing drives me more crazy than to see advertisements for “quick fixes” and new diet plans aimed at getting the weight off quickly. Newsflash…if any of these programs, offers, pills, flushes, diets, etc. actually worked….we wouldn’t have the obesity crisis we do in our country!
Get Real: Here is the hard cold truth…weight loss takes an effort, it takes time and some manipulation of the 4 components to making a body transformation. Period. Simply put, you have to do the work, you have to do the work consistently and until you reach your goal and you have to be willing to change things up to keep your body from adapting. Get Real: The reality is if you are 30 or more pounds overweight, you are putting yourself in jeopardy for serious health risks. This is not joke, and not a marketing attempt utilizing fear to prompt you into action. This is fact. You could be taking years off your life by carrying around the extra weight. It's time to think not only of yourself, but your loved ones as well.
Get Real: Transformation takes time. This is an unavoidable truth. It is unfortunate that we can put weight on much faster than we can take it off, but it is nonetheless reality. To lose weight in a healthy way, a 1-2 pound weight loss per week is a reasonable and obtainable goal. This ensures that we are not overworking ourselves or starving ourselves to get quick results, (which won’t last anyway). There may be weeks where you lose more than 2lbs and weeks where you don’t’ lose any. This is all part of the process of making a body transformation. Get Real: Anyone who tells you differently is using a gimmick to appeal to your emotional desire for quick change that will require further action on your part, i.e. more pills, more products, additional program sessions beyond the quick fix etc.
